When Next Gen Padel at the Bryanston Sports Club in Bryanston approached us for a security upgrade to their bar area, we knew it would be a challenge. They needed a system that was easy for staff to manage while providing maximum security, all without compromising the bar’s sleek, open design during operating hours. Traditional burglar bars or visible security gates were out of the question.

After considering the requirements, we devised a unique, effective solution using our technical expertise. The result was a removableMaxi-Grill that offers both security and style. The grill is secured using U-Channels, ensuring it remains firmly in place when needed. For added security, we manufactured a custom removable post that secures into the floor and ceiling using a bespoke holder design. This post serves as the Maxidor Classic Locking Bar, supporting the Maxidor Classic Retractable Security Gate.

The retractable security gate is designed to fold neatly into the back of the bar, remaining nearly invisible when not in use, preserving the open, airy atmosphere of the space. Special tubing was also installed to accommodate the spotlights on the ceiling while fitting the tracks and U-Channels seamlessly.

To complete the aesthetic, both the gate and burglar bar were powder-coated to match the existing roller shutters, ensuring a cohesive look for the entire setup.
