Conditions of Sale:

  • This order contains only the material terms and conditions of the agreement between the parties but must be read together with the terms and conditions on the Maxidor’s website www.maxidor.co.za. There are no other undertakings, representations or agreements other than as contained on this order read together with the website terms and conditions.
  • No alteration or cancellation of this order shall be of any force reflect or effect unless it is in writing and signed by both parties.

Payment and Installation:

  •  The Customer will pay Maxidor the value of the order upon acceptance. Production will only begin when signed order and payment are provided to Maxidor by the client.
  • Should the Customer cause delay then the Customer shall forfeit the payment if the product is not installed/collected/received within 4 months after the payment has been made.
  • In the event of this agreement being submitted as part of a quotation it shall be valid for 7 days.
  • The expected date of installation is an estimate only, calculated from date of receipt of proof of payment and accepted quotation documents. Time shall not be of the essence in delivery.
  • The onus lies with the Customer to prove that payment has been made. Please use ORDER NUMBER as reference.
  • It is the Customer’s responsibility to sign in acceptance of the product or appoint a duly authorized person to accept the product on their behalf.
  • The product will remain property of Maxidor until full payment has cleared in a Maxidor facility.
  • Maxidor reserves the right to change or modify the design of the product without notice.
  • All other costs not included in the purchase price such as customs, duties and taxes payable in the country to which the products are consigned to, shall be for the Customer accounts.
  • The Signatory will be held personally liable together with the Customer.
  • Cancellation of the order will carry a 20% handling fee provided the product has not been manufactured.
  • Any refund must be approved and will be paid out within 6-8 weeks of receiving all the relevant documentation from the customer.
  • As soon as payment has been made, this serves as confirmation that the client has accepted the order as well as the Standard Terms and Conditions of Purchase.

Products, Warranties and Maintenance:

  • All of the above guarantees are subject to adequate, regular cleaning, servicing and maintenance by customer, but fair wear and tear is excluded. The Customer acknowledges that products are steel, do naturally rust if not maintained and if damaged this accelerates such rust and the Customer will not be covered by such guarantee.
  • Products within 5km of any body of water, sea, river, vlei, wetland or the like shall be serviced and washed by the Customer at least twice every month.
  • Products further than 5km from any body of water, sea, river, vlei, wetlands or the like shall be serviced and washed by the Customer at least once a month.
  • Notwithstanding anything herein contained the Customer shall only have one claim per product. Post installation damages and consequent rust is excluded from the guarantee.
  • The Products shall be maintained regularly and be free of any damage. This will be inspected by the supplier on site and the discretion of the supplier to evoke the guarantee based on this inspection.
  • Electronics, motors and remote controllers have a guarantee of 6 months from commissioning date, excluding damage done by power surges (e.g.: interrupted power supply, lightning strike etc.)
  • Maxidor reserves the right to refuse repair or replacement if the product is not regularly cleaned and maintained.

Buy-Back™ Guarantee Terms:

  • Only the product that has been breached will be covered and any other damaged product will be repaired at the customer’s expense; if so instructed.
  • Only a fully paid-up product is covered by any guarantee.
  • The product must have been purchased after 1 July 2008.
  • Modifications by the Customer to the standard product range (unless pre-approved in writing by Maxidor) will render any guarantee void.
  • The guarantee does not waive any of Maxidor’s rights under the Sales Agreement.
  • The product must have been installed by a Maxidor approved installer or a Maxidor Franchisee or Agent.
  • In the unlikely event of a breach through a Maxidor product, the incident must be reported to Maxidor and the SAPS and a case number obtained (within 24 hours).
  • The Buy-Back™ guarantee does not apply to the following Products:

Maxidor MXA
Maxidor Classic and Ultra Swing Gates
Maxi- Louvre
Maxi-View
Maxi-Fence

Indemnity:

  • Maxidor will not be liable for any damage suffered (including but not limited to), water pipes, electrical wiring, tiles, plaster, cornices, or any similar damage caused during the installation of products.
  • It is the Customer’s obligation to point out any electrical, plumbing or water hazards at the time of installation. Failure to do so is done at the Customers risk.
  • The client has been made aware that provision must be made in protected areas for a suitable fire escape.

The following products have the relevant applicable guarantees:

Ultra Range

  • This product range carries a 5-year product Guarantee. (Locks and moving components)
  • This range carries the 10-year Buy-Back™ Guarantee.
  • The guarantee is subject to maintenance and service, please see Clause 1 (Under Products, Warranties And Maintenance)
  • This range carries a 3 year corrosion resistant Guarantee provided it is installed on the inside.
  • Products within 5km of any body of water, sea, river, vlei, wetland or the like shall be serviced and washed by the Customer at least twice every month. This Product carries a 3 year corrosion resistant guarantee if installed on the inside and will carry a 1-year corrosion resistance guarantee if installed on the outside, subject to inspection.
Classic Range

  • This product range carries a 3-year product Guarantee (Locks and moving components)
  •  This range carries the 10-year Buy-Back™ Guarantee provided that the product has been an interior fit.
  • The guarantee is subject to maintenance and service, please see Clause 1 (Under Products, Warranties And Maintenance)
  • This range carries a 3 year corrosion resistant Guarantee provided it is installed on the inside.
  • Products within 5km of any body of water, sea, river, vlei, wetland or the like shall be serviced and washed by the Customer at least twice every month. This Product carries a 3 year corrosion resistance guarantee if installed on the inside and will carry a 1-year corrosion resistance guarantee if installed on the outside, subject to inspection.
MXA Range

  • This product range carries a 1-year product Guarantee (Locks and moving components)
  •  This range is not covered by the Buy-Back™ Guarantee.
  • The guarantee is subject to maintenance and service, please see Clause 1 (Under Products, Warranties And Maintenance)
  • This range carries a 1-year corrosion resistant Guarantee provided it is installed on the inside.
  • Products within 5km of any body of water, sea, river, vlei, wetland or the like shall be serviced and washed by the Customer at least twice every month. This Product carries a 1 year corrosion resistance guarantee if installed on the inside and will carry a 6 month corrosion resistance guarantee if installed on the outside, subject to inspection.
Maxi-View

  • This product range carries a 1 year UV Protected Guarantee provided that no chemical is used
  • This product should only be cleaned with water
  • The guarantee is subject to maintenance and service, please see Clause 1 (Under Products, Warranties And Maintenance)
  •  This range is not covered by the Buy-Back™ Guarantee
Swing Gates – Ultra and Classic

  • This product range carries a 1-year product Guarantee (Locks and moving components)
  •  This range is not guaranteed against corrosion
  • This range is not covered by the Buy-Back™ Guarantee
  • The guarantee is subject to maintenance and service, please see Clause 1 (Under Products, Warranties And Maintenance)
The guarantee outlined above is subject to:

  • The Product having been installed, altered and repaired only by an installer duly authorised by Maxidor SA (Pty) Ltd
  • The Product having been at all times used for the purpose for which it was designed;
  • The Product having been cared for and maintained strictly in accordance with the suggested care and maintenance instructions provided and can be seen on the Maxidor Website www.maxidor.co.za
  •  There having been no damage, deterioration or malfunction from any alteration, modification, improper or unreasonable use or maintenance misuse, abuse, accident, neglect, and /or fire.
  • The guarantee excludes any and all deterioration or damage due to fair wear and tear of the Product including corrosion due to proximity to coastal conditions (detailed information available here) as well as damage due to forced entry. The product is not guaranteed to stop forced entry; it is designed as a security barrier.
Roller Shutters

  • This product comes with a 12 month mechanical guarantee (Moving Components)
  •  Any back up power come with a 6 month guarantee
  • Batteries are not guaranteed
  • Electronics , Motors, Remotes and Controllers are guaranteed for 6 months from commissioning date. This guarantee does not include any damages done by power surges (e.g. Interrupted power supply, lightning strike etc.)
  •  This range carries a 1 year corrosion guarantee
  • The guarantee is subject to maintenance and service, please see Clause 1 (Under Products, Warranties And Maintenance)
Maxi-Fence

  • This product range carries a 5 year corrosion warranty on fencing panels
  • Posts, Swing Gates, and Sliding Gates carry a 1 year corrosion warranty
  • This range is not covered by the Buy-Back™ Guarantee
Maxi-Louvre Interior Fittings

  • 10 Year on Materials
  • 5 Year Moving components (Locks, Sliding Gears)
  • 5 Years on Steel Components (Only from 2kms from Shoreline)
  • 3 Years on Steel Components (50m – 2kms from Shoreline)
Exterior Fittings

  •  5 Year on Materials (50m – 5kms from Shoreline)
  • 10 Years on Materials (5kms+ from Shoreline)
  •  5 Year Moving components (Locks, Sliding Gears)
  • 5 Years on Steel Components (Only from 2kms from Shoreline)
  • 3 Years on Steel Components (50m – 15kms from Shoreline)
